is a cultural event about food, great wines and tourism in the volcanic lands of our country. 

The journey and the wine find their natural home in Pietrarsa, along the railway line where the history of our country’s railways begins on October 3, 1839 with the Naples-Portici line.

From Campania, crossing Italy, with an eye to the main geographical areas of volcanic origin on the planet, there will be a meeting and discussion place dedicated to the culture and culinary art, the great wines and the typical products. A reminiscent path with debates, workshops, chefs, show cooking, tastings, innovation, scientific research, multimedia, photographic exhibitions, guests… 

The enhancement of the territory is manifested through the many excellences of volcanic fertility, the viticulture, the archeology, the cultural heritage and it finds in this event an interesting showcase to promote the hospitality, the voyagers and food and wine.

There will be space to celebrate the knowledge of mankind, the culture of peoples and their identity through the beauty of the environment and the pleasures of taste.

The claim chosen is Traveling to Taste!  Between innovation & sustainability.

The goal is to seek ever more original ways to attract tourism to food and wine places.

News of this edition will be the food and wine tours promoted by the Tourism Department: itineraries in the five provinces of Campania where you can enjoy unique experiences among vineyards and wineries. The wines of the volcanic soils will be the absolute protagonists of Eruzioni del Gusto because they tell the territory and the culture. 

The event will also host representatives from other Italian regions including Tuscany, and international presences such as a delegation from Québec with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, to promote the challenges and benefits of the North American market for Italian companies.  And, again on the subject of internationalization, the program includes meetings with important buyers also from the USA.
